Two month ago, Julie, one of our members ordered a sewing machine and taught herself how to make face masks. Within a couple days she got the hang of it and she got real busy. Last month, when she had a solid stack of masks she announced that she was selling them for donations, and all the funds collected would all go towards food relief support initiatives by our partners in our school communities. To her surprise, the campaign gained unexpected success and her mom even had to step in and make some additional masks in order to fulfill orders in Luxembourg. After a week of announcing, they has raised 1200€.
With a part of these donations, the incredible help of our partners at Magical Light, Singapore, its foudner Ben Cheong and their amazing volunteers, we were able to help distribute some much needed food relief packages to 225 impoverished families in 15 different villages in the Rangamati District in the Chittagong Hill Tract - which is part of the larger region of the Moita Dream School location in Bangladesh.

These villages had recently received rice in an earlier food relief effort, but were lacking other basic necessities. Thus, each family received the following requested items:
1 liter Oil
500g Shrimp paste
500g Daal
2kg Potato
1kg Salt
1kg Onion
5 packs of Saline ors (Medicine for diarrhea)
Soap.

We wanted to thank everyone again who supported Julie and her efforts, and hope that your masks are helping you stay safe and healthy.
