Leading The Way

We are so proud to announce that Nang Leng officially graduated from Ban Lan School!

Two years ago, in April, after years of studying at Somwang School, Nang Leng had reached the needed level of education in order to transfer and continue her studies at Hua Nar School, a public Thai school.

She is the first of our students to successfully finish Thai Primary school and she will be the first to continue on to secondary education at Mwng Chum School.

We wished we could be there to celebrate her! This is such a big step for her! And for us! Because this is what we work for: to not let a child's place of birth, economic status, race, gender or ethnicity determine whether they will receive an education or how far they can go. We have high hopes for Nang Leng and her path ahead and we will continue to support her in whatever way we can.

Thank you all so much for your continued support! And big thank you to all of her wonderful teachers at Somwang! Even though Nang Leng put in all the hard work of studying and learning, we all made it possible for her to do so!
